Error Messages

"Your access to book for [Name] has been revoked"

Error Code: DELEGATION_REVOKED

What Happened: Your delegation to this user was deleted or deactivated while you were using it.

Possible Causes:

  • The delegator revoked your access
  • An administrator deleted the delegation
  • The delegation was deactivated

Solutions:

  1. Contact the delegator and ask them to restore access
  2. Contact your company administrator
  3. If needed, a new delegation must be created

Prevention:

  • Communicate with delegators about any changes
  • Complete bookings in a timely manner

"You no longer have permission to perform this action for [Name]"

Error Code: SCOPE_INSUFFICIENT

What Happened: Your delegation exists but was modified to remove the scope needed for this action.

Possible Causes:

  • The delegator reduced your scopes
  • An administrator modified the delegation
  • The required scope was never granted

Solutions:

  1. Check your delegation to see current scopes
  2. Contact the delegator to request the missing scope
  3. Contact your administrator if needed

Error Code: TRAVELER_INACCESSIBLE

What Happened: A traveler you selected is no longer accessible to you.

Possible Causes:

  • Your delegation was revoked
  • The traveler was deleted
  • The traveler's ownership changed
  • The delegation was deactivated

Solutions:

  1. Remove the inaccessible traveler from your selection
  2. Verify your delegation is still active
  3. Contact the delegator to confirm traveler availability
  4. Start a new booking with accessible travelers

"Cannot delegate to yourself"

What Happened: You attempted to create a delegation where the delegator and delegate are the same user.

Solution: Select a different user as either the delegator or delegate. Self-delegation is not supported.


"Delegation already exists"

What Happened: A delegation already exists between these two users in this company.

Solutions:

  1. Find the existing delegation and update it instead
  2. If you need to change the delegation, edit the existing one
  3. Search for the delegation using the users' names

"User not found or not active in company"

What Happened: One of the selected users is not an active member of the specified company.

Possible Causes:

  • User account doesn't exist
  • User is not a member of this company
  • User's company membership is inactive
  • User was recently deactivated

Solutions:

  1. Verify the user exists in the system
  2. Check that the user belongs to the correct company
  3. Confirm the user's company membership is active
  4. Contact your administrator if the user should be active

Delegate Can't See Delegator's Travelers

Symptoms: The delegate claims they can't see the delegator's travelers in the traveler selection.

Booking Fails for Delegated Travelers

Symptoms: Delegate can see travelers but cannot complete a booking.

  1. Check all delegations to this delegate
  2. Verify you're looking at the correct delegator's group
  3. Have the delegator confirm their traveler list
  4. Refresh to see recent changes

Delegation Created But Not Working

Symptoms: Delegation shows in the list but doesn't function.

Bulk Delegation Creation Partially Failed

Symptoms: Some delegations were created but others failed.

  • Some user combinations already have delegations
  • Some users are not active in the company
  • Network issues during creation

  1. Check which delegations were created (they appear in the list)
  2. Note which combinations failed
  3. Verify failed users are active in the company
  4. Retry failed combinations individually

Why can't I edit delegations granted to me?

Only the delegator (or an administrator) can modify delegations. This ensures delegators maintain control over who accesses their data.

Why does my colleague's policy apply instead of mine?

When booking for someone else's travelers, their policy always applies. This ensures policy enforcement is based on the traveler's role, not the booker's role.

Can I delegate to someone outside my company?

No, both the delegator and delegate must belong to the same company. Delegations only work within a single company context.

How long does a delegation last?

Delegations have no expiration date. They remain active until manually revoked or deactivated.

What happens to bookings if delegation is revoked?

Existing bookings are unaffected. Only new actions (new bookings, viewing, cancelling) are blocked.
